Naaman was a famous Syrian general โ and had leprosy. A captured Israelite slave girl told his wife about a prophet who could heal him. He showed up at Elisha's house with gold and horses.
Elisha didn't even come out. Sent a messenger: go dip in the Jordan River seven times. Naaman raged โ the Jordan was muddy and his own rivers back home were better.
His servants talked him down. He dipped seven times. On the seventh his skin came up clean as a child's. He went home a believer.
