He Was Swallowed Alive. Three Days Later, He Walked Out.
God told a prophet named Jonah to march into Nineveh — a huge enemy city — and tell them to knock it off. Jonah's reaction? Hard pass. He sprinted to the docks and bought a ticket on a ship headed in the OPPOSITE direction.
Big mistake. A storm so violent hit the boat that hardened sailors started praying to every god they could name. They drew straws, figured out Jonah was the problem, and — at his own suggestion — chucked him overboard. The sea went instantly calm.
Then the twist: a massive fish swallowed him whole. For three days and three nights Jonah sat in the belly of this thing, in the dark, with seaweed wrapped around his head, and finally prayed. The fish coughed him up on dry land.
Jonah walked into Nineveh, gave the shortest sermon in history, and the entire city — king included — repented overnight.
