Job was the wealthiest, godliest man around. In one afternoon: oxen stolen, sheep burned, camels raided, every servant killed, all ten of his children dead in a collapsed house. Then boils head to toe.
His wife told him to curse God and die. Three friends sat with him in silence for a week, then spent thirty-something chapters telling him he must have deserved it. He didn't.
