The King Threw Three Men Into the Fire. Four Walked Out.
King Nebuchadnezzar built a 90-foot gold statue and ordered everyone in Babylon to bow when the music played. Three Jewish exiles โ Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego โ refused.
The king lost it. He had the furnace heated SEVEN times hotter than normal. The flames were so intense the soldiers who threw the three men in were killed by the heat at the door.
Then Nebuchadnezzar looked into the furnace and jumped up: 'Didn't we throw THREE men in there? I see FOUR walking around, and the fourth looks like a son of the gods.'
He called them out. They walked out without a burn, without singed hair, without even the smell of smoke on their clothes. The king promoted them on the spot and made a new law: don't touch their God.
